How to checkout and return a laptop from Chemeketa

General Information

 

  • Spring term laptop checkouts begin Thursday, March 14, 2024
  • To check out a laptop, you must be enrolled in classes for the term you would like to use the laptop
  • Limited quantities are available and are based on a first come, first serve basis

  • Chemeketa student ID is required for laptop checkout

Laptop Renewals

Do you still need your laptop for next term?  Request a renewal. 

  • You must be enrolled in the term you are requesting a laptop renewal for
  • Be sure to fill out all of the questions completely to ensure your renewal can be processed
  • Due to staffing, renewals can take up to a week to be completed.  Once a laptop has been renewed you will receive an email with the new due date.

Laptop Returns

  • Laptops are due the Friday of Finals Week
  • Laptops should be charged and ready to turn on for staff
  • Don't forget to bring the charger, laptop bag, and any other computer equipment
  • Laptops CANNOT be returned to bookdrops
  • Can't make open hours? Reach out to your library or center for additional assistance

Note: Salem campus library will be closed during spring break (March 23 to March 31) for the installation of a new fire alarm system. Laptops can be returned at the Bookstore during that period. There will be a library staff member stationed there to take returns.
