Improved Requesting Coming to Primo

by Kathleen Veldhuisen on March 3rd, 2025 | 0 Comments

Chemeketa Community College library is moving to a new service for requesting library items, called Rapido. Rapido will offer improved ease of requesting and many more items directly requestable in the Primo Library Search.

Just as before, Chemeketa employees and students for credit can sign in to request articles and physical items from our Summit Partners (The Orbis Cascade Alliance). Instead of a Summit Plus link, users will see boxes ("tiles") that offer physical and/or digital request service.  The difference is, that instead of only those partners, users will be able to request physical items from a wider array of libraries and have them sent to a Chemeketa location.

Rapido tiles with REquest a physical copy delivered in 7 days; keep for 112 days; and Request digital article or chapter delivered in 24 hours by email

You may notice some other things that have changed.  The labels for print and ebooks, for example, have changed to accomodate Primo.  To show only ebooks, users will need to use the Full Text Online filter as well as the Book (E or requestable) filter.

Chemeketa plans March 6 as its first day for the new requesting system.
