What to Do

In the library you can....

Get help with assignments that require research sources like books, magazines, journals, or websites

Borrow print books available at Chemeketa and other libraries through Primo Library Search

Borrow a netbook or laptop

Borrow wifi hotspots

Reserve a study room 

Borrow textbooks from the College Lending Library

Watch streaming videos for education and entertainment

Get computer help (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, eLearn...etc)

Print, photocopy and scan documents

What to Bring

Student ID Card

  • use it to print from a library computer or from the wireless (the cost for printing is $.05 per page)
  • use it for logging on to computers (use your barcode)
  • use it to borrow materials to take out of the library (books, magazines, journals, dvds, calculators, laptops.....)
  • use it to borrow Reserve textbooks and other materials for use in the library 
  • use it to pick up materials you have requested from other libraries

Instructions for obtaining your virtual ID. If you don't have a smartphone, visit Public Safety at Building 2, Rm 173 on the Salem Campus, or Building 1 main desk on the Yamhill campus. The card is free. They will take your picture and make the card while you wait.
