Artstor has created a "Copyright Checkpoint" site, currently in Beta, that helps the user determine the copyright status of an work of art or photograph. Enter a title and answer some basic questions about the item to be taken through a brief process to determine the status. The utility gives a result regarding copyright status and shows both your answers and an explanation for each.
